ARTIST BIO

David has studies mathematics and the history and philosophy of science and is currently re-exploring in art his mathematical development. The pictures evoke ideas of organic forms and natural flow. The underlying numbers are those used in flow dynamics and in much of physics. We have much to learn about the relationship of life to mathematics and these pictures can, in addition to being beautiful, be suggestive of the life of numbers. These two pictures have the same formula looked at from different perspectives. The pictures are created on a computer using mathematics programs to calculate the lines and then drawing programs to graph them. They are then printed.
