Syd.Tunn     Painter, printmaker

Diploma of Art (1962 - 1965) at Caulfield Institute, now Monash University.
Majoring in painting, life drawing, printmaking.  Full-time fine artist since 1980.

Exhibitions: 7 Solos, 35 Features, 7 Joint & 35 Group Exhibitions mainly in the South Eastern
States of Australia.
Galleries include  Mornington Gallery &  ART Gallery, Collins Place, Melbourne.
His awards include the Flinders Art Award, & E.R.A.(x3).

Award Invitations include Nillumbik Art Awards;  Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery & Diamond Valley Art Awards.

Aquisitions include the Regent Hotel Melbourne, now Sofitel  (9 works);  Municipal Mutual;  C.K. Clothing;
Melbourne Exhibition & Convention Centre;  Eltham College; also numerous Agencies & Corporations since the '70's.

Syd takes humour seriously  - still life with a whimsical twist, quirky animal/bird studies. He is an accomplished portrait and
figurative painter, he regularly showed in the Victorian Archibald Salon des Refuses & was runner up 2002.
He uses a wide variety of media in his drawing, painting & printmaking.

Syd has collaborated with his wife, Ona Henderson as a result of the bushfires, in their CollaborArt Duet Series.

Assisted Co-ordinator of the Nillumbik Artists Open Studio program from 1988 till 2005 jointly with the Nillumbik Shire.
Assisted with the Victoria Archibald Salon des Refuses, & the Salon de Montsalvat Art Prize, Montsalvat Galleries. 2002 - 06.
Appointed director of the Dunmoochin Foundation Board, 2005.
