ARTIST BIO

I am continually experimenting, creating and hiding out in my art studio. My family have come to accept my quirky nature as long as they still get something to eat ! Having been a school teacher and art teacher for over 20 years I am finally allowing my obsession to become full time. I simply do not know how to 'not make art'.

I attribute my artistic nature to both of my parents who immigrated from Holland in the 50's. Dad always sketched beautifully and Mum, who sewed, introduced me to pattern and design. Art is a love and a passion, full of failure and success. I began to sell my art work and was commissioned to create abstract works for school and corporate boardrooms. I am enjoying exhibiting art work in local and outer Victorian art shows as well as accepting commissions from businesses. I love the fact that my art journey in many ways has just begun.
