Wattle, Lemons And Blue Vase V by Kirsty Mcintyre

ARTIST NOTES: This oil on canvas painting is the 5th, largest and last in a series exploring the boundaries between realism and a more distorted and flattened representation of a single still life composition. It features the first spring wattle in all of its fluffy glory, and some favorite props. At the same time it has for me the feeling of a family portrait. A small study done in preparation for this work remains in my possession and has been released in a limited edition print run.
